I enjoy doing Zumba and also walking and jogging on the tredmil. I went to the gym today and I walked/ jogged on the tredmil for an hour, which came out to 2.6 miles.
I can commit to an hour of activity on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. I will either do the tredmil or Zumba.
Next Saturday, Andy and I will be walking a 5K. The first of many I intend to do. A goal of mine is to eventually run the full length!
So lets get physical!
Good commitment! I really like walking on the treadmill, especially if I have stuff on the DVR to watch. I am sure you will do great this weekend at the 5k. I always do better at an actual race b/c of the competitive environment. I walk too because my ankle says "no" to running. Keep up the good work :)
ReplyDeleteYou've got the right attitude, Jess! You're gonna rock that 5K. Nice job making commitments to stay active.. I'm right there with you! You're a rockstar!
ReplyDeleteExcellent! Walking is an awesome way to keep active! Perhaps the next challenge for you should be seeing how much of your daily life you can accomplish without the car! I walk *everywhere* and when you're relying on it for your transportation, working out becomes part of your daily routine, so those days you can't make it to the gym, sorted! (And free!)
ReplyDeleteOn a normal work day, I walk 2 miles to work and 2 miles back, takes me about 30 minutes each way, how far away is your work? or the shop?
