Turns out, we like to build.

I am a big fan of design blogs, one of my favorites being ana-white.com. She provides step by step instructions to build your own furniture. After re-arranging or living room, we realized we were in need of a bench, for under our window. We found a plan we liked, modified it to fit our needs (deeper for our larger butts, and longer to fit under our window) and off we went. We drove to home depot, purchased the wood (and had them cut it there) and came home and built a bench. All in all, it turned out well, despite the few mishaps. So here it is, our new bench.
