How to make a wand

In preparation for our upcoming roles as extras in the next Not Literally video, Andy and I, and our friend Danielle, decided to make a few wands.

haha just kidding! :)  We made Harry Potter style wands.

Here is what you need:

12" wooden dowels
Sander (or Sand Paper)
Hot Glue Gun and Hot Glue
Paint /  Paint Brush

1. Sand the tips of the dowels down to an almost point. You don't want it sharp (unless you need a wand/ bayonet) just so that it looks like a wand. I recommend using a sander, it goes a lot faster.

2. Warm up the Hot Glue Gun and apply the glue in whatever pattern you want. I recommend making a handle, so it looks like a wand, but you could go hog wild.

3. Once you have a design you like, paint it however you want.

Tada! It is pretty easy, and I think they turned out great!
