Broken Promise

I know I shouldn't promise anything, because it is almost guaranteed that I will break it.

I promised a big post full of details about the move by 7am today.

CLEARLY that didn't happen.

I will get to it by the end of the week. I don't promise ;)

What I do have for you is a revised mood board for my living room. We are about 99% sure that we have found our new apartment! It is available to move in April 28th, but seeing it has given me some time to dream up some fun ideas! I have decided not to paint the walls. Lesson Learned! But that doesn't stop me from wanting to paint something! I have been trying to come up with ways to bring more colors to my pallet and I had a brilliant idea! Because I won't be putting color on the walls, I was worried they would just be big white walls. But I have a solution. I want to get 8 18x18 in Ribba frames from IKEA and fill them with 8 colorful chevron paintings! I will stagger them (like below) for interest! Then I want thick navy striped curtains hung high and wide on the balcony door/ window wall. On the other side of the wall, I want two big Billy book cases, with our entertainment center in the middle. I want them white and I want to paint the back a fun pop of color! Behind the tv, I want to put a big piece of art or maybe some colorful curtains to take away from BWW (big white wall) syndrome.

Feast your eyes!

We want to bring the chevron into the dining room by DIYing a chevron rug from an Ikea Erslev like this tutorial.

I will keep you updated!
